Good afternoon,
You may already have heard the news that FEMA and FCC will be conducting a Nationwide Emergency Alert Test on Wednesday.
This test is conducted at the Federal level, but we would like our community to be informed.
Date and Time: Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 1:20 pm CDT
"In case the Oct. 4 test is postponed due to widespread severe weather or other significant events, the back-up testing date is Oct. 11."
What to expect:
This test will be transmitted to cell phones and likely sound similar to an Amber Alert or National Weather Service Severe Weather Alert.
